Built by one person, run on real servers, sold without pretending otherwise.
DeployOS started from a specific frustration: paying Render or Railway every month for side projects that would cost a few dollars a month to run on a VPS I already owned and finding that every self-hosted alternative (Coolify, Portainer, and the rest) wanted to install its own dashboard on the server it was managing. That means the tool you reach for when a server is having a bad day is competing with that server for resources, and is down exactly when you need it most.
DeployOS is the opposite architecture: a native desktop app that talks to any VPS over plain SSH, with nothing persistent installed on the server. The server runs your apps and a reverse proxy that's it. It also ships a local MCP server, so Claude Code or Cursor can deploy, restart, and diagnose apps from a chat window, with every write-capable action gated behind an off-by-default toggle.
DeployOS runs my own infrastructure 4 production servers, 11 live apps, every day. Not a demo VPS with one toy app spun up for a screenshot. Testing against that fleet has found and fixed real bugs that a clean demo environment never would have surfaced the kind that only show up once a server has real deploy history, mixed build methods, and long uptime. I've written up the specifics on the blog, including the bugs themselves, not just the fact that testing happened.
There are no customer testimonials on this site yet, and there won't be any that aren't real. If you're looking for that kind of validation before trying it, the honest answer is that it isn't here yet what's here instead is the product itself, a free tier with no card required, and a written account of what actually broke during real testing.
DeployOS is built and maintained by Chinedu, operating as Appsdec Limited. It's a solo, self-funded project no VC round, no team of ten, which is also why the free tier and the honesty about tradeoffs matter: there's no growth-at-all-costs pressure behind the pricing or the copy on this site.
